Amy S. Dotson, MSW, LCSW
Amy Dotson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. She then went on to receive her Master of Social Work degree from the joint program University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University. Ms. Dotson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a treatment focus individual and family psychotherapy. Her areas of specialization include parent-child relational problems, ADHD, anxiety and depression disorders, sibling relational problem, child/adolescent behavioral or oppositional difficulties, physical and sexual abuse, attachment and bonding difficulties. Some of the interventions utilized to work with these difficulties include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), neurofeedback or EEG biofeedback, cognitive-behavioral, theraplay, narratives and parent training.
